Munich, 14.02.2024 – The high-tech company Agile Robots announces that TÜV SÜD has officially confirmed and certified the safety of the lightweight robot Yu 5 Industrial. The robot arm meets internationally recognized quality and safety standards that guarantee safe use in industrial environments.
The certification norms IEC 61508, ISO 13849-1 and ISO 10218-1 are specifically geared towards industrial robot applications. In particular, the certificate attests to the safety of the robot controller, which utilizes state-of-the-art safety functions such as power and force limitation and safe collision detection for industrial and collaborative applications. The certification also attests that strict quality and safety controls were adhered to during the development and manufacturing of the robots.
