Agile Robots becomes a member of ARENA2036

This press release was issued by ARENA2036, announcing its new collaboration with Agile Robots. The original release can be viewed here.

Munich/Stuttgart, 07.11.2024 – The international high-tech company Agile Robots SE is now a member of the ARENA2036 research campus. An initial meeting at the company's Munich headquarters served as the cornerstone for the work at the research campus.

The robotics company, which now has over 2,300 employees worldwide, acquired a majority share in ARENA2036 member BÄR Automation in 2023. The new collaboration has enabled Agile Robots to become involved in the work at ARENA2036. In its automation solutions, Agile Robots combines state-of-the-art robotic technologies with artificial intelligence, bringing exciting additions to the platform for the existing ARENA2036 members. The company itself will be able to benefit from flexible collaborations and valuable feedback from potential customers or other companies and institutes in the field of robotics.

We are delighted to now be part of the ARENA2036 innovation platform. In this special network, we are jointly driving the development of new technologies and actively shaping the future of industry
Dr. Zhaopeng Chen, CEO and co-founder of Agile Robots

Shortly after joining, Agile Robots is taking part in the Robotics Challenge II of the Wiring Harness Transformation Hub – a strong debut in Stuttgart and an excellent opportunity for initial networking. In addition, Agile Robots plans to initiate research activities together with other members, test its own technologies on site and integrate them into existing or new scientific projects. ARENA2036 offers the ideal platform for this, as well as a strong, well-connected ecosystem, both in terms of specialist expertise and the existing infrastructure and project landscape.

The kick-off meeting in Munich focused on getting to know each other, introducing the ARENA network and an open project brainstorming session. Potential project collaborations were collected and discussed with the aim of establishing and deepening strategic alliances locally. The aim of such onboarding meetings is to make it particularly easy for new members to get started and to make it as easy as possible for them to work in initial project consortia.

We are very pleased that our colleagues from Agile Robots approached us with so many ideas during the onboarding process and that they are directly participating in the robotics challenge that started last week. We are looking forward to the results of the challenge and to networking with other members on site.
